Rocha Nuez Associates

Susan has received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Woodbury University and is about to receive a degree for a Masters of Arts in Urban Sustainability from Antioch University. Her completed thesis project is focusing on creating tiny house villages in a micro community to help with the issue of homelessness.
In her last semester at Woodbury University where she attended a study abroad program at The Pantheon Institute of Architectural Design in Rome, Italy, she was announced as one of the two groups which were shortlisted by an international jury of experts in the group of the thirty finalists who were competing for the Arturbain Award, with the theme of “Putting forgotten urban voids to good use” which she did investigate a series of urban voids extending from the areas surrounding the Colosseum to the architectural design project site in the Celio neighborhood.
She is currently a project Designer at Rocha Nuez Associates firm where she is involved in design and construction of wide variety of residential projects.
Her work experience over the course of her education has ranged from being a remote sensing researcher at Woodbury University, to a designer at an architecture firm, to a sustainability advocate working closely with different organizations involved in community engagement. She is a passionate and energetic designer who is in the process of becoming licensed architect in California.
