Dear SIAP members:

Hereby, I proudly announce my Vice President candidacy for SIAP 2007 election.

As you may know me, working with SIAP from the beginning in 1999 and am still working with your Society non-stop.  I was SIAP treasurer from 2000-2002 and acted as  Secretary Director in 2006.  I have also been awarded SIAP logo and have designed SIAP www.SIAP.org website and maintaining it from start in July 2000 till now.  I also worked with Publishing Committee to publish the first issue of Payeh magazine in 2000.

I am a graduate student in Architecture from Tehran University and have earned master degree in Art Direction from American Film Institute. 

This is my proposal for the SIAP annual work load for the next two years:

1-     To increase and expand SIAP website to bring more traffic to our website and have more exposure through architectural communities worldwide.

2-      To Publish Payeh Magazine twice a year.

3-       To create a database of all Iranian architects and their firms worldwide.

4-       To create a database for Generic Architectural Details for SIAP members to have access to them via our website for viewing and download.

5-     -To arrange interviews with Iranian or non-Iranian Architects for SIAP Website or Magazine publication and invite them for our seminars 4 to 6 times a year.

6-      To provide ACAD drawing tools, Website design and ACAD/web page layout classes for members to be able to design their own web pages in SIAP website for their works and activities.

We started in late 90s with more than 100 architects or planners that were eager to join our Society and we lost more than half of them due to the lack of providing them enough information or service.  I believe, if we can achieve my proposal, old members and new members will join us and we are able to provide even more services to our Architectural community.
