This two-day symposium includes a series of panels and presentations, where architects, engineers, and architectural historians explore the distinctive work of Los Angeles architect John Lautner. Participants include Stanford Anderson, Alan Hess, Sylvia Lavin, Neil Denari, Hernán Díaz Alonso, Marc Treib, and Sandy Isenstadt. The related lecture Free-Form Living: A Conversation with the Clients and Colleagues of John Lautner follows at 8 p.m. Separate reservations are required. Presented by the Getty Research Institute and the Hammer Museum.

In addition to yesterday's article about the Harpel House renovation, the LA Times also put up a great slide show retrospective of some of John Lautner's amazing homes built in Southern California. Many of these homes have been used as film and photoshoot locations.
